Enhance Educational Excellence Grant
Enhance Educational Excellence Grant
The Enhancing Educational Excellence (EEE) Grant supports projects, programs, and educational experiences that expand learning opportunities for Linn-Mar students beyond what is typically available through district funding.
Grant Criteria
Strong proposals should demonstrate a clear benefit to students and one or more of the following criteria.
- Enhance or expand student learning
- Encourage creative and critical thinking
- Use innovative or engaging approaches to education
- Address an educational need or opportunity
- Promote collaboration when appropriate
- Include additional funding sources or partnerships when appropriate
Projects are not expected to meet every criterion to be considered for funding. Priority is given to projects that have a broad impact and benefit multiple students, classrooms, grade levels, or school buildings.
Funding may support projects in core academic subjects as well as STEM, music, visual and performing arts, language, humanities, culture, character, communication, and other areas of educational enrichment.
Guidelines
Applications must be submitted by the Linn-Mar staff member responsible for implementing the project or program.
EEE funding is intended to enhance educational opportunities and should not replace funding that would typically be provided through regular district or building budgets.
Educators seeking reimbursement for classroom items they have already personally purchased should apply through the Enhance Linn-Mar Educators (ELME) Grant. ELME is typically available at the start of each school year. Funding for the 2026–2027 school year has been fully awarded.
Please note that BenQ requests will now be submitted through a separate application.
Timeline
Applications are reviewed by the Linn-Mar School Foundation Fund Distribution Committee with input from applicable Linn-Mar curriculum directors. Final funding decisions are made by the Linn-Mar School Foundation. Applicants can generally expect a decision within two weeks of submission.
If approved, the Linn-Mar School Foundation will coordinate payment or reimbursement based on the nature of the request. Additional documentation may be required before funds are distributed.
Questions about project eligibility or the appropriate funding amount should be directed to Kari Elhard at kari.elhard@linnmar.k12.ia.us before submitting an application.
